Clay City celebrates the holiday season each year with an event they like to call “Hometown Holiday.” For the small, tight community of Clay City, that is the perfect way for everyone to get together. The afternoon and evening event is for families and friends to be able to get together and enjoy the start of the holiday season in downtown Clay City.

This year, the event will take place on December 4th and is sponsored by the Clay City USA Foundation, Inc. Their main event and most popular one is the chocolate walk. That will take place from 4:00-6:30 p.m. Tickets were sold in advance and all 400 have been purchased. If you have one of those lucky tickets, you will get to tour the local Clay City businesses and enjoy collecting the chocolate that each business, organization, or church has to offer.

If you don’t have a chocolate walk ticket, that’s okay too, there are plenty of other activities for you to enjoy! The Elf Search will also take place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Children can pick up their Elf Search paper at the library in town. Then, they will find all the hidden Elves and return to the library for a gift.
