DLC Media, Purdue University reach agreement to bring Boilers to local airwaves

(Brazil, IN) Boiler Up! DLC Media, Inc. announced today it has reached an agreement with Learfield Sports to bring Purdue University Sports to WAMB AM 1130 and FM 106.9 in Brazil, WAMB FM 99.5 in Terre Haute and www.WAMBRadio.com.

According to President and General Manager, Dave Crooks, “There are many Purdue fans in our area. Now that Purdue is the new number one ranked basketball team in America, and, with the Music City Bowl bound Purdue Football team playing later this month, I decided it’s time to fill the Purdue radio hole in this market and add the Boilermakers to our already impressive audio sports line-up”.

DLC Media was awarded a contract earlier this year to broadcast Indiana State University Sports on 105.5 The Legend. DLC Media also secured Indiana University Sports for 92.7 The Rock.

According to Crooks: “Adding Purdue to WAMB The Breeze is the perfect college sports trifecta for my group of radio stations in Terre Haute”.

Crooks added, “It will take my Engineering, operations and sales team a few days to make this addition. If everything goes as planned, we will start broadcasting Boilermakers sports on local radio by December 18th when Purdue battles Butler at the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis. If we can sign-on ahead of schedule, we will.”.

Besides broadcasting Purdue Basketball and Football, WAMB will also air both the Matt Painter and Jeff Brohm weekly talk shows. DLC Media is looking for sponsors to keep Purdue on local radio.
