Holiday Closings

•As New Year’s Day is on Saturday this year, the Clay County Commissioners have announced that all County Offices and Departments will be closed on Friday, December 31st, for New Year’s Eve Day. Offices and departments closing will be the Courthouse, Highway Department, Health Department, Soil and Water Office, Extension Office, Community Corrections, and WIC.

All offices and departments will re-open on Monday, January 3rd at their regular times.

• The Brazil Times office will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31, and will reopen on Monday. Friday’s edition will be published on Thursday this week.

Special meeting

The Town of Knightsville board will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. on January 11 at the Town Hall to discuss American Rescue Plan funds and how the town will act on these funds.
