COVID-19 UPDATE by ISDH

The Advisory Level throughout Indiana for the spread of the COVID-19 virus is currently showing a downward trend in the northern part of the state, and beginning to spread southward.

HOWEVER - Clay County remains in RED at this time.

The Advisory Level level refers to the current guidelines the county must follow. A county must remain at a lower Weekly Two-Metric Score for two consecutive weeks to move down to a lower advisory level.

Currently, Clay County has a Unique Positivity Rate for newly tested cases at 21.8%, and an overall Positivity Rate for all tests at 14.7% since the beginning of the pandemic in 2020.

A number of 81 total deaths have been reported since the beginning of the pandemic.

TESTING AND VACCINATION CENTER OPENS NEXT WEEK

The Clay County Health Department in cooperation with the Indiana State Department of Health will offer free Covid-19 testing to all Clay County residents.

The event will be held daily February 23-25 from 2 pm to 6 pm, inside of the

Clay County 4-H Fairgrounds is located at 6656 North State Road 59.

This event is free to the public. Rain or Shine. No appointments are necessary for Indiana residents.

If you have not yet been vaccinated, or are still needing a booster, please consider attending, especially if you are at risk, over 65, suffer from conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart/lung disease, or any other underlying health conditions.
