Spencer, Timberman named to All-Conference team

With the girls high school basketball state tournament rapidly winding down, the awards portion of the season is upon us.

On Thursday, the Western Indiana Conference announced its 2021-22 All-Conference team, and earning two spots on the 15-player roster were a pair of Northview guards in senior Macey Timberman and junior Audri Spencer, who, together made up one of the most potent offensive backcourts in the WIC.

In her final season as a Lady Knight, Timberman was among the top scorers in the state for a multi-week stretch. She led Northview in total points scored (493), points per game (19.7), total assists (72) and assists per game (2.9). Timberman also averaged 4.9 rebounds per game, 1.8 steals per game and 0.2 blocks per game while shooting 39 percent from the field, 26 percent from the 3-point line and 69 percent from the free throw line.

In her third season donning the maroon and black, Spencer put together her best all-around year on the hardwood. She led Northview in total steals (70) and steals per game (2.8). Spencer also averaged 12 points per game, 3.1 rebounds per game, 2.2 assists per game, 2.8 steals per game and 0.2 blocks per game while shooting 38 percent from the field, 33 percent from the 3-point line and 58 percent from the free throw line.

Joining Timberman and Spencer on the All-Conference team include the following players: Faith Wiseman (Indian Creek), Lauren Foster (Indian Creek), Emily Todor (Indian Creek), Carly Sherfield (Edgewood), Trista Helms (Edgewood), Delainey Shorter (Sullivan), Gracie Shorter (Sullivan), Marin Davies (North Putnam), Kyla Willis (North Putnam), Brie Miller (South Putnam), Katelyn Fennell (West Vigo), Veronica Carter (Cloverdale) and Emma Hunter (Greencastle).
