Benwood Mt. Lebanon

Benwood Mt. Lebanon Church, 945 E. Co. Rd. 1200 N, Brazil, Pastor Hayden Lewis. Sunday school starts at 9:30 a.m. The Church Service begins at 10:30 a.m. Youth Group meets every Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Right after that, Adult Bible Study meets at 7:30 p.m. Women’s Bible Study is every Thursday at 9:45 a.m. in the Community Building right behind the Church.

The message on Sunday, April 3 was from Matthew 12:32, “Anyone who speaks against the Son of Man can be forgiven, but anyone who speaks against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, either in this world or in the world to come”. This refers to something only those who saw Jesus in person could do, for example, to see a miracle from Christ and attribute it to Satan. No one today could commit this act. However, today for most it is the rejection of the Holy Spirit. Those who call God a lair by rejecting His call have no hope of forgiveness. Jesus adds that speaking again Him is not unforgiveable, Christ can change their mind and he will forgive them. Put your faith in Jesus, become a believer and be forgiven for any words spoken against Him.

So that you may know…

This Sunday is what is called Palm Sunday. This is the day that we believe the events recorded in Luke 19 occurred. Jesus approached Jerusalem and as He did, He was greeted by a large group of people. It was like a parade route as the people rejoiced and praised the One they thought would be their military, political, and religious messiah. After the crowds dispersed, Jesus then enters Jerusalem and over the next few days everything begins to change.

So That You May Know is the title of our series. We pray that you will know Jesus in the deepest way possible. We pray that you will know Him as the one who loves you and gave His life for you. We pray that you will know Him as your Creator, your Savior and your friend. That is why we are here today, to share this incredible story. What an honor it would be if you were able to join us this Sunday as we share with you the all that led up to the event that changed the course of human history.

As we continue our journey together to the cross and ultimately the empty tomb over the next two weeks, we pray for you to join us. Maybe for the first time God will convince you of the truth of Jesus and what He did for you. For those that might already be convinced, the more certain you are the more you will want to tell others.

Please join us as you are.
