TOP STORY OF THE DAY: AUGUST ARRESTS SO FAR: 12 DRUG CHARGES

The Clay County Justice Center has had a busy first two weeks of August: Local law enforcement agencies have arrested numerous people with felony drug arrests.

A list provided by the Clay County Jail includes the following:

NOTE: All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.

• A 2021 case by Brazil Police Department in Clay Superior Court: Delano, Robert J, 37, Terre Haute: Unlawful Possession of Syringe(F6), Possession of Methamphetamine(F6) - $7,000, awaiting court proceedings.

• A traffic stop by Clay County Sherrif’s Office that ended in arrest: Lowder, Danna J, 55, Greenwood, IN: Unlawful Possession of Syringe(F6), Possession of Methamphetamine(F3), Possession of Marijuana(MB), Hold For Other Agency, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated(MC), Dealing in Methamphetamine(F2) - Clay County Circuit Court, $50,000 cash bond - On Hold for Putnam Circuit Court (05-24-21 - (F6)Possession of Methamphetamine - basic offense and for any amount below 5 grams, (MB)Possession of Marijuana, (MA)Possession of a Controlled Substance Schedule I, II, III or IV)

• A traffic stop by CCSD that ended in arrest: Hart, Ray Allen, 50, Stilesville, IN: Possession of Methamphetamine(F3), Maintaining a Common Nuisance(F6), Dealing in Methamphetamine(F2) - Clay Circuit Court

• This started as a theft investigation at the Road Ranger by CCSD, and BPD worked a case in Brazil, combining the cases: Adkins, Eric James, 33, Brazil: Theft(MA), Possession of Methamphetamine(F6), Possession of Paraphernalia(MC)

• A suspicious person and an investigation that leads to an arrest by CCSD: Kline, David Frank, 33, Brazil: Possession of Methamphetamine(F6), Possession of Marijuana(MB) - Clay Circuit Court, $7,000, awaiting court proceedings.

• Indiana State Police arrest of Li, Songfei, 44, Flushing, NY: Dealing in marijuana, hash oil, hashish, salvia-amount of a drug is at least 10#s marijuana or at least 300 grams of hash oil, hashish, or salvia, or offense involved - sale to a minor(F5), Possession of marijuana, hash oil, hashish, a salvia-prior conviction for a drug offense and person possess: at least 30 grams marijuana; or at least 2 grams hash oil, hashish, or salvia; in any 30 days (F6) - Clay County Circuit Court, $10,000 cash bond - awaiting court proceedings

• BPD arrested: Zuel, Timothy Scott, 49, Brazil: Dealing in Methamphetamine(F4 x2), Possession of Methamphetamine(F6 x2), Maintaining a Common Nuisance(F6) - Clay Circuit Court, $25,000 cash bond, awaiting formal court proceedings

• BPD performed a traffic stop and arrested Sowers, Garrett Benjamin, 28, Brazil: Possession of Paraphernalia(MC), Possession of Methamphetamine(F6), Operating a Vehicle as a Habitual Traffic Violator(F6) - Clay Superior Court, $7,000 bond with 10% allowed, awaiting formal court proceedings.

• BPD performed a traffic stop and arrested Conway, Sean P, 35, Brazil: Possession of Paraphernalia(MC), Possession of Methamphetamine(F6), Possession of Marijuana (MB), Possession of a Controlled Substance - Clay Superior Court, awaiting formal court proceedings.

• Gordon, Joseph R, 32, Brazil: Possession of Paraphernalia(MC), Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Domestic Batterer(MA), Maintaining a Common Nuisance(F6), Dealing in Methamphetamine(F2), Possession of Methamphetamine(F3), Possession of a Controlled Substance, Auto Theft(F6)
