Brazil man in custody after BPD officers offer assistance
Stopping to help a motorist in need led to an arrest Tuesday morning.
About 3 a.m., Brazil Police Department stopped to help what appeared to be a motorist standing in front of a car with its hood up near Knight and Leavitt streets.
During a records check, the vehicle was discovered stolen in Vigo County.
Officers identified the male at the scene as Trevor Ray Fulk, 25, Brazil, and also learned he was wanted on a warrant.
Fulk was arrested without incident.
Fulk was booked into the Clay County Justice Center for felony Possession of Stolen Property with a $7,000 cash bond. (NOTE: Court records in Clay Circuit Court show a separate case for auto theft stemming from an August 2021 incident.) Fulk is awaiting formal court proceedings in Clay Superior Court.
All parties are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
