On Tuesday, September 20, 2022, Spc. Layton Michael David Abbott, Ft. Bragg, North Carolina, was escorted home for burial at Lawson-Miller Chapel from the Indianapolis Airport.

Visitation will be held at Lawson-Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Avenue, Brazil, on Friday, September 23, 2022, from 4-8 p.m.

Services will be held on Saturday, at the funeral home, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Al Ray officiating.

Burial with full military honors to follow at Union Cemetery.
