Tuesday morning shooting investigation ongoing

Details are limited because Brazil Police Department is investigating an early morning shooting.

Brazil Assistant Police Chief Dennis Archer confirmed a caller reported a 23-year-old male was shot at 601 Central West Village around 1 a.m. Tuesday.

Members of BPD, Clay County Sheriff's Department, Indiana State

Police and STAR Ambulance arrived at the scene to find the man between the apartment buildings.

The male was transported to a Terre Haute hospital for further treatment.
