CLAY COMMUNITY SCHOOLS: Various bus routes might have delays over next couple weeks

Thursday, November 10, 2022

Parents of students attending school received this text message within the past hour:

"Bus riders might encounter some delays or be riding different buses than normal over the next couple of weeks. Parents are certainly welcome to take their children to school if so desired.

The CCS Transportation Department is working extremely hard to avoid any route delays, etc., and your support and understanding during these situations are greatly appreciated!"

Director of Extended Services Jesse Trunnell said the message was sent out today to let parents know some buses might be a little late the next two weeks because substitute drivers will be working various routes. These drivers might be a little slower getting around because they are unfamiliar with the routes.

The message was sent out to let parents know children might be a little late arriving to and from school.

It was Trunnell's hope to avert any possible anxiety for families in the coming weeks.
