Officers investigating the shooting of a local residence

Details are limited at this time, but Clay County Sheriff Brison Swearingen confirmed the investigation of possible shots at a home in northern Brazil Township early Saturday morning.

Officers are currently on the scene investigating and collecting evidence.

Swearingen said there were no injuries and no danger to public safety, but officers should stay in the area a while longer.

The Indiana State Police Crime Scene Unit assists with the ongoing investigation in State Road 59 and County Road 1100 North.
