Evelyn Lucille Brown, 93, passed away January 20, 2023. Lucille was born to the late Homer and Nellie (Nicole) Fox on November 2, 1929 in Vigo County.

Lucille graduated from Fontanet High School. In February of 1949, Lucille married Jack Brown, who preceded her in death in 2003. She spent most of her life as a stay-at-home mom. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her friends and family.

Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack, one daughter, Kathy, two sons, Mike and Bill Brown, siblings, Rosemary, Jean, Richard, Homer Jr., Robert as well as two infant siblings.

Lucille is survived by her son, Jack Brown (Theresa), three grandchildren, Chris Brown (Susie), Amie Maurer (Jason), and Ashley Whitman (Clay), six great grandchildren, Brodie, Michael, Drew, Sydney, Bryce, and Evelyn, and daughter in law, Joetta Brown.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 25th from 11-1 at French Funeral Home, 421 East National Avenue in Brazil. A funeral service officiated by Robert Muncie will begin at 1 P.M. Burial will follow at Summit Lawn Cemetery.
