Steven “Steve” G. William, Indianapolis, passed away on the early morning of January 22, 2023. He was 63 years old. Steve was born in Brazil, Indiana, to his parents Harold and Patricia Williams. He graduated from Brazil High School, class of 1977. Steve married his wife, Hoa, in 2008 and they shared 15 years of marriage together. Steve was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in 1978.

Steve worked as a correctional officer at Plainfield Correctional Facility and contributed 8 years of service. Steve enjoyed collecting coins and guns. He loved figuring out new technology, cooking, hunting, and fishing. He enjoyed listening to Vietnamese music while sipping on an ice cold Mountain Dew and enjoying his favorite food, chicken wings. Steve loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The memories created now will be cherished by those he leaves behind.

Steve is survived by his wife, Hoa Williams; his children, Nhut (Christopher) Brooks and Thuong Crouch (Fiance: Scott Strietelmeier); his grandchildren, Christina (Nicholas App) Daniels, Austin Daniels, Kody Daniels, Kaydence Crouch, Kylan Kincaid, Lyla Strietelmeier, Morgan Hensley, Mandi Brooks, Colton Brooks, Logan Brooks, and Autumn-Grace Brooks; his great grandchild, Isaiah Wright; his extended family, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Steve is preceded in death by his father, Harold Williams; his sister, Cathy Williams-Keagle; his brother in law, Richard Keagle.

A visitation for Steve will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
