TAMMIE LYNETTE (JARVIS) STERRETT Brazil, Indiana

Tammie Lynette (Jarvis) Sterrett, 59, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on January 29, 2023 following a lengthy illness.

Tammie was born on February 14, 1963, in Indianapolis, Indiana the daughter of Gayle and Joy (Rainey) Jarvis. She graduated from Van Buren High School with the class of 1981. Tammie married Stephen Sterrett in 1982. Tammie worked at Great Dane Trailers for many years. She also worked as a School Bus Driver for Clay Community Schools until her health didn’t allow her to drive any longer.

Tammie enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, traveling, playing cards, and bowling. She was a member of the Carbon Baptist Church where she spent a lot of her time volunteering.

Tammie was preceded in death by her mother Joy Jarvis and her husband Steve Sterrett.

Tammie is survived by her father Gayle (Pat) Jarvis; two daughters: Angie Sterrett and Elise Capicik both of Santa Cruz, CA; a granddaughter Stella Capicik; three sisters: Pam Hayes (Tim), Deb Raderstorf (Phil), and Brenda Jarvis; several nieces and nephews, extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. Services will be at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Private burial services will take place at a later time at Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
