Mary Girton, age 78, of Brazil, passed away at 12:19 P.M. on February 6, 2023 at Gibson Family Center for Hospice.

Mary was a lifelong resident of Brazil. She married James Girton on November 19, 1971. She worked for many years at Hooks Drug Store, and 36 years at Columbia House. In place of destination vacations they enjoyed visiting different casinos over the state, with French Lick being their favorite. They enjoyed eating out with friends, and playing Euchre.

Mary spent the last four years at the Villas of Hollybrook in assisted living. She was beloved by the residents as well as her caregivers. While there, she enjoyed playing Bingo and Euchre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and May Evelyn (West) Hadley, and her husband, James Girton.

Mary is survived by her sisters: Eva Latham, Patricia Dickison both of Brazil, and Ruby Crouse of Columbus, Indiana, and one brother, Gilbert Hadley (Joyce) of Brownsburg, as well as several nieces and nephews.
