WIND ADVISORY UNTIL 7 pm Thursday - Falling trees

IVY JACOBS PHOTO - No injuries were reported during an accident on State Road 42, but the car sustained heavy windshield damage late Thursday afternoon.

Strong wind advisories - southwest gusts of 20-30 mph, with some as high as 55 mph - Thursday caused first responders to remove fallen trees and limbs from roadways and responded to a report of fallen tree damage to a vehicle.

The accident was at 25 West State Road 42.

Center Point and Jackson Township volunteer fire departments and the Clay County Sheriff's Department were dispatched to the scene. No injuries were reported during press time, but the car sustained heavy windshield damage.
