TOP STORY OF THE DAY: New hires at CCS

Frazier, not pictured, had to leave quickly after the board’s approval - he was attending a training session that evening.

There was a noticeable excitement in the air at the Clay Community School(CCS) Board of Trustees meeting Thursday.

CCS Police Chief Josh Clarke admitted his excitement and nerves about making the first presentation about the project before the board.

“Tonight I will present the steps we are taking to create an elite police department,” said Clarke about the glimpse into the ground-up from the scratch process during the past 60 days. “It is a work in progress.”

Superintendent Jeff Fritz confirmed Clarke hit the ground running, “Josh has done a tremendous job.”
