Jesus was fully God and fully man. He wasn’t super man. He felt pain, had emotions and endured anything we might also face and more. Three times he asked the Father if there were any other way. Death was not the issue, but taking on the full wrath and separation from God that we deserve. God said no. Jesus was still obedient to God’s will for our sake. He took all of believers sin and put death to death. His humanity saved us from sin as the perfect substitution and his deity allowed him to be raised to life. A life we can now have for all who believe.
