“Radio is still viable and important to every community. Besides free programming, we broadcast the latest news, weather, and sports. We share lots of community information and messages for our sponsors,” explained Dave Crooks, President and General Manager of DLC Media.

DLC Media has six radio stations in the area.

-WAMB The Breeze 1130 AM & FM 106.9 in Brazil and 99.5 in West Terre Haute

-92.7 The Rock WFNB in Brazil

-WVIG The Legend 105.5 in West Terre Haute (Operated from Brazil)

-Super Hits 104.9 WAXI in Rockville

-Lite 103 WAKO-FM in Lawrenceville-Vincennes

-WAKO The Legend 910 & 99.3 in Lawrenceville-Vincennes

Crooks has been in radio since 1980. It’s his second career stop in Brazil having operated the former WSDM and WBZL from 1983-1988.

Locally, staff includes, Shelley Crooks, FCC Compliance, Barry Kent, Operations Manager, Kandee Cook, Traffic & Account Manager, Jade Scott, Digital Director & Account Manager, Michelle Cannava, Account Manager, Corey Clark, Sports Director & Account Manager and Dave Thomas, Promotions Director.

“DLC Media is local. I have invested my entire life savings bringing local radio back to Clay County. Our state-of-the-art broadcast facility is located at 111 West National Avenue in Downtown Brazil. (Former Leifheit’s Men’s Wear Building),” said Crooks.

Crooks noted they, “appreciate the warm reception in Brazil. However, there are many businesses who have yet to utilize our marketing services.”

He said they reach thousands of people daily in Clay and surrounding counties, with unique and exclusive music formats appeal to many in two states.

In addition to music DLC Media also has exclusive radio coverage of Northview, Indiana State, Indiana University, Purdue University, Chicago Cubs, Indy 500.
