Friday, June 30, 2023

Weather sirens roared into life in Brazil shortly after 2:30 and again before 3 p.m. as a strange-looking wall of clouds arrived, followed by high winds and pounding rain. Moving at an estimated 75MPH, according to weather forecasters, the storm front was fierce and quick.

The Clay County Courthouse clock stopped at 3:15 p.m. when many businesses and residents lost power.

As of Friday morning, many residents are still cleaning up and are without power.
