Investigation continues into Friday traffic fatality

The Brazil Police Department is still investigating a Friday afternoon traffic accident involving the death of a child.

Due to the pending investigation, details are limited.

However, Brazil Assitant Chief Dennis Archer was able to confirm some details.

The accident occurred shortly after 4 p.m. in a private drive on the northeast side of Brazil.

Members of BPD and Brazil Fire Department, along with STAR Ambulance, responded.

Family and first responders attempted life-saving measures, but the child did not survive.

The BPD and the Clay County Coroner’s Office are investigating.

The Indiana State Police assisted with the accident reconstruction.
