The Clay County Humane Society has more exciting news: Thanks to an anonymous donor, the next $50,000 donations raised for the expansion project will be matched again!

This is the second time this community challenge has happened, and the CCHS officials could not be happier.

“This is just amazing,” said CCHS Board Vice President Toni Carter about the love and support from the community for helping animals find a home. “This means so much.”

The anonymous donor loves animals and hopes residents feel the same passion for helping these animals find their fur-ever homes.

Any amount of donations helps, but the different levels of sponsorship include;

$5,000 - Sponsor A Kennel with a lobby plaque

$1,000 - Gold Sponsor lobby plaque

$500 - Silver Sponsor lobby plaque

$250 - Sponsor lobby plaque

The project is in the final push for funding; the lobby at the new CCHS facility will become a permanent “Kennel Sponsor Wall,” and the kennels in the building will display plaques.

To donate or for more information, contact Toni Carter at 812-239-2504 or Michelle Cannava at 317-490-6126.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The new expansion is to build an indoor 40-kennel project for dogs, eliminating the need for outdoor dog kennels. The project will free up space inside the shelter facility to expand the surgery center.

“This will allow the dogs to have a better quality of life. Now they will be able to get out, their bedding will be cleaner, the kennels will be cleaner, and they will be able to be more active and healthy,” said Carter.
