SUE ANNE STEARLEY, Brazil, IN

Sue Anne Stearley, 77, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on August 30, 2023, following complications of a heart attack.

Sue was born on March 23, 1946, in Clay County, Indiana, the daughter of Paul and Helen (Deakins) Maesch. She married Jerry Stearley on October 13, 1962. Sue attended the Brazil First Baptist Church. Sue enjoyed helping her daughter Cindy at Vision Quest Garden Center, flower gardening, and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Helen Maesch and her daughter Michele Lee Stearley.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years Jerry Stearley; daughters: Kristi Cabotage (Eldemar), Cindy Bryant (Will), and Amy Stearley; a son Joe Stearley (Kristie Whitlock); grandchildren: Ashlee Bennett, John Bennett II (Haley), Erik Bennett, Ethan Cabotage, Randall Kline, Jessica Schultz, Abby Cramer, Zachary Jones, Joey Stearley, Baelee Fagg, Karrsyn Stearley, Braelyn Clodfelter, and Brooklyn Stearley; great-grandchildren: Kloee Vanatti, Kadyn Vanatti, Kylee Mitchell, Mya Miller, Ari Frye, Vera Frye, Jensen Bennett, Elijah Bennett, Emma Bennett, Alaina Bennett, Tucker Kline, Layla Stearley, Olivia Stearley, Alice Hultquist, and Waylon Fagg; sisters: Barbara Drake and Janet Lang as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Graveside services will be held at Centerpoint Cemetery on Friday, September 1, 2023, at approximately 3:00 PM.
