Donna Marie Wells, 81, passed away on October 17, 2023, at her residence. Donna was born to the late Albert and Hazel (Cheek) Deakins on November 17, 1942, in Staunton, Indiana.

On April 25, 1959, Donna married her high school sweetheart, Paul E. Wells Sr. She worked as a nurse’s assistant at Clay County and Union Hospital. Being a mother, wife, grandma, and great-grandma was the highlight of her life. She was a homemaker for many years.

Donna is preceded in death by her parents, and three sisters, Martha Jane Davis, Shirley Jo Miller, and Connie Randall.

Donna is survived by her husband, Paul E. Wells Sr., three children, Paul E. Wells Jr. (Susan), James R. Wells (Connie), and Christina E. Wells (Brent), seven grandchildren, Jeremiah “Nathan” McCreery, Anton Fountain, Elizabeth Fountain, Heath M. Wells (Katie), Faith D. Wells (C.J. Gilbert), Paul E. Wells III (Bella Katz), and James W. Wells, great-grandchildren, Harley A. McCreery, Lilliona E. McCreery, Steven A. Wells, Parker A. Wells, and Hadleigh A. Wells, as well as several extended family members.
