Vic Lee Tiefel, 70, of Clay City, passed away at home peacefully due to heart issues. He was born December 10, 1952 to James and Thelma Ell Tiefel. He graduated from Clay City High School, Class of 1971. He was a member of the Track and Basketball Teams and active in FFA. Following graduation, he served in the Air Guard for seven years.

As a young man, Vic worked in the coal mines at Clay City and in the VanBuren area. He was an over the road truck driver for many years and always a farmer. He had to retire from farming in 2017 due to his health.

Vic was a humble man who loved his farm, simple joys in life and his dear family.

He leaves behind his three sons, Daniel Lunsford (Kim), Nick Martin (Kristin Steed), and Tom Martin (Jennifer); grandchildren, Kade Jones, Emma Martin, Memphis Martin, Maggie Martin, Piper Lunsford, and River Martin. He is also survived by his former wife, and special friend, Wanda Miller and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial service will be held this Sunday from 1-3 at Schoppenhorst Funeral Home, 301 8th St. Clay City, IN.
