SENIOR SPOTLIGHT - NHS AUDREY LEE

Monday, November 6, 2023

Audrey Lee is a senior at Northview High School. She is involved in the varsity club and is the senior representative for curriculum. She is also a member of the varsity volleyball team. Outside of school, Audrey gives volleyball lessons to children in Clay County, and she coaches a team at the YMCA as well.

Lee states that one of her proudest accomplishments has been making WIC Academic All-Conference and WIC All-Conference player for the past two years in volleyball.

In the future, Audrey plans to attend Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College to obtain her bachelor's degree in nursing.

“I will also be extending my athletic career, as I have recently received an offer and scholarship to play volleyball for the Saint Mary-of-the-Woods Pomeroys.”

After she graduates from Saint Mary's, Audrey plans to go to IU Indianapolis (previously IUPUI) to get her master's degree and become a pediatric nurse practitioner.

“I have wanted to pursue [becoming a nurse] for a while because I love caring for people who are in need, and I love kids. To me, this was a perfect in-between for what I like to do.”

Lee is interning at Lynn's Pharmacy in Brazil. She explains, “At first, I had an interest in pharmacy because it would help me learn different medicines for nursing.”

Audrey explains that she has many role models in her life, but the most notable is her father. She states that his confidence, intelligence, and drive have always inspired her.

“He has taught me to never give up and to always look at the bigger picture instead of the minor inconveniences that may come along.”

At some point in her life, Audrey would like to travel to Europe.

“I think that I would enjoy the experience as well as the diversity of the community.”
