GARY "PUDGE" DAVIS, Brazil, IN

Gary Owen Davis “Pudge”, 77, passed away October 31, 2023 at his residence. He was born to the late George and Mary (Rader) Davis on June 15, 1946 in Brazil.

On July 3, 1970, Gary married Barbara L. Davis who preceded him in death. Gary worked for Norville Pickett Sr. for many years before going to work for Brazil City Street Department for over 23 years. He was often known as Pudgy or Pudge. He served in the United States Army. He enjoyed listening to music, and gardening. In his free time, he enjoyed watching million dollar houses, basketball, football, especially the Bears and the Rams, and NASCAR, cheering on his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. He loved to attend the Brickyard 400 with his nephew, Eddie Raines. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and her family throughout the years.

Gary is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara, his son, Gregory Davis, a granddaughter, Kelly Davis, and his sister, Helen Weist.

Gary is survived by his children, Gary Oliver Davis and his wife Tammy, Robert Davis and his wife Tina, and Rebecca Bullock and her husband Charles, grandchildren, Dilon, Mary, Laciee, Haylee, and Shawn Davis, and a niece, Nancy Longhorn Montgomery, and a nephew, Jerry Weist.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family c/o French Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1 Brazil, Indiana to help offset funeral costs.

A burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date. The obituary will be updated when service times are available.
