Marie Beckley passed away in Clay City, surrounded by her family and friends, on December 29th 2023, at the age of 55.

Marie is proceeded in death by her husband, Joe Beckley, and father, Billy Chadwell. Marie is survived by her mother, Kathleen Chadwell.

Marie is lovingly remembered by her children: Erin Moore (Michael), Amanda Cochran (Blake), Lane Beckley (Megan), and Danielle Hobbs (Gabe); many grandchildren; brothers, Keith Chadwell (Kerry) & Michael Chadwell; and several nieces and nephews.

Marie was born in Indianapolis on March 4th 1968, where she lived until the age of 11, when she moved with her family to Wisconsin, and made some great lifelong friends and many wonderful memories. Marie and her family returned to Indianapolis 5 years later, and eventually followed her parents to Clay City, where she and her two daughters resided. In 1994, Marie married the love of her life, Joe Beckley, and they blended their two families together, and then had a son together. Marie worked at Boston Scientific in Spencer, Indiana for 15 plus years, where she made many dear friends, and then made the leap of working full time, alongside her husband, with their handmade soy candle business, which they ran together for more than 25 years.

Marie enjoyed spending time outside, camping with her husband, loved winter and Christmas---especially the snow, long hot baths, and the cozy time that comes with it, but she also looked forward to her beach time---especially in Cape San Blas, Florida, where she and Joe had spent much of their time, and again made many wonderful, dear friends.

Marie's greatest passions---and perhaps greatest gifts---were by far her journaling, blogging, and photography, of which she was very talented.

Marie loved big and hard, and made many friends throughout her short life. She was a sweet & spicy soul and left an impression wherever she went. She will be dearly missed by so many.

In lieu of a funeral, we will be having a Celebration of Life at The White Barn at White Pine Manor, in Brazil, Indiana on January 6th 2024 from 1:00 until 4:00, with the time of remembrance at 3:00. All friends and family are welcome to attend.
