BOBBY G. LUNSFORD, Brazil, IN

Bobby G. Lunsford, 82, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly, on January 7, 2024.

Bob was born on July 1, 1941, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of James and Mary (Shipman) Lunsford. He attended Ashboro High School and graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1960. Bob worked for various farmers over the years. He also worked for Arketex, Commercial Solvents, and for the past 20 years he has worked for Oak Ridge Golf Course as a grounds keeper.

He was a member of the Putnam County Bass Fishing Club, and Van Buren High School Booster Club where he had served as president and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, NASCAR, and IU Basketball fan. He also enjoyed golfing and fishing.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Lunsford, wife Juda “Ann” Nicoson Lunsford, a daughter Donna Black, a great-great-grandson Kaden Alexander, siblings: Una Lunsford, Ron Lunsford, and Dan Lunsford.

Bob is survived by his daughter Connie Wells (Jim) and his son Terry Lunsford (Teresa); grandfather of: Cristen Black, T.J. Black, Heath Wells (Katie), Faith Wells (CJ Gilbert) Seth Lunsford (Carrie), and Linzy Lauteri (Jake); great-grandfather: Mason Alexander, Logan Alexander, Addisyn Johnson, Bellah Johnson, Parker Wells, Steven Wells, Hadleigh Wells, Landon Lunsford, Nolan Lunsford, and Lucas Lauteri (due to arrive in May); great-great-grandfather of: Axel and Kaizlee Alexander; brother of: Joe Lunsford (Connie) and Tom Lunsford (Julie) as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Visitation will be at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Services will be held on Friday, at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow at Centerpoint Cemetery.
