BETTY LOUISE THOMPSON, Brazil, IN

Betty Louise Thompson, 90, passed away on January 15, 2024 at thew Gibson Family Hospice Center in Terre Haute surrounded by her family. She was born on February 22, 1933 in Brazil, Indiana to the late Carl and Mary (Hendrix) Cornwell. Betty graduated from Brazil High School in 1951and later attended the Union Hospital School of Nursing. She went on to work at St. Anthony’s Hospital as well as Columbia Records.

Betty loved being around family, summer vacations, traveling, cooking, and playing cards. She was preceded in death by her first husband Jackie Fox, second husband Ronald Thompson, granddaughter, Melanie Bemis.

Survivors include her sons, Larry Fox of Brazil and Doug Fox of Florida; grandchildren, Amanda (Greg) Barnette of Staunton, Amber (Aaron) Fox of Brazil, Matt, Mike and Jeremy Rains of Brazil, Ryan Sanders, Allen (Amie) Hodge of Florida, Samantha (Jessica) Fox of Ohio; great-grandchildren, Lexi (Matthew) Knight of Terre Haute, Hanna Barnett of Staunton, Kyia Fox of Brazil, Diante, Dimyia and Devon Harper, and Ryan Sanders of Florida; great-great grandchildren, Maurice Caldwell, Mercy and Maelynn Harper, Micah Herrington, Ava Harper, and Jayden Harper.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, January 19, 2024 at Moore Funeral Home in Brazil with Pastor Jeff Bridgewater officiating and burial to follow at Clearview Cemetery.
