Marilyn Lynn Douglas, 81, of Brazil, Indiana, died on January 28, 2024, at Regional Hospital, following a brief illness.

Marilyn was born on September 30, 1942, in Linton, Indiana, the daughter of John and Phyllis M. (Mitchell) Kennedy. She graduated from Glenn High School, in Terre Haute. She married Donald Douglas on July 31, 1964. Marilyn worked at Columbia House for 15 years before retiring. Her favorite job was working for French Funeral Home, as an attendant, for several years. Marilyn enjoyed golfing and traveling on Turner Bus trips. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her sister Margie and her grandkids. She was a member of Carbon Baptist.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents: John and Phyllis Kennedy; her husband Donald Douglas; siblings: Michael Kennedy, John Kennedy, Patty Deakins, and Barbara Crowley and her dear friend Sue Clark.

Marilyn was survived by her 4 children: Tracy M. Clark and husband Scott, Bradley Douglas and wife Tobey, Leslie Douglas, and John Douglas; grandkids: Adam Clark (Hannah), Audrey McCoy (Jalen), Joshua Hoskins, Austin Douglas, Dylan Grayless (Marin), Peyton Grayless, Brooke Douglas, Luke Douglas (Clara), and Lacey Douglas; great-grandchildren: Nora Clark, Maeva McCoy, Mackson McCoy, and Alaia Ashker; sister Marjorie Nevins; as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Lawson – Miller Chapel, 1702 E. National Ave. Brazil, Indiana 47834, on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 6:00 PM with Howard Hughes officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home, on Thursday, from 4:00 PM until time of services.
