JON R. GIRTON, Brazil, IN

Jon R. Girton, 83, passed away February 13, 2024. Jon was born to the late Richard and Doris (LaBier) Girton on March 14, 1940 in Brazil.

Jon graduated from Brazil High School in 1958. On October 1, 1960, Jon married the love of his life, Mary Jane Girton. She preceded him in death in 2017. Jon worked various jobs throughout his life, most involving heavy equipment. Jon enjoyed building Legos, watching movies, and watching sports.

Jon is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Jane.

Jon is survived by his three sons, Kevin Girton (Cathy), Steve Girton (Susan), and Brad Girton (Kourtney), grandchildren, Kerri Keyt, Kyle Girton, Kristin Frey, Sierra Girton, and Michael Hughes, four great grandchildren, a brother-in-law Hugh Swartz and a sister-in-law, Shirley Parr.
