Election news: Poll locations & 2024 Candidate Filings - Republican Precinct Committeemen

The candidate filings with the Republican Precinct Committeemen have been released. The last day to file a declaration of candidacy for a major political party was February 9. It is worth noting that those who are uncontested will not be placed on the Primary ballot.

With the May Primary Election drawing closer, there are a few key dates that residents should keep in mind.

Voter registration is open now until April 8.

Early in-person voting will begin April 9 in the Clay County Election Office from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Absentee ballots must be received by 6 p.m. on May 7.

Primary Election Day will be from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 7.

Indiana residents can register to vote online until midnight on April 8 and in person at county election offices until April 8.
