Hazardous Weather Outlook

DAY ONE - April 3.

Gusts up to 40 mph are possible this afternoon into tonight,

mainly across W/SW portions of central IN. Minor lowland flooding continues to develop along area main stem rivers.

A strong pressure gradient and mixing supports the potential for gusts up to 40 mph this afternoon into tonight, mainly across West/South West portions of central IN. Widespread rainfall of as much as 2-4 inches has fallen over the past 36 hours. As this water continuesvto run off into main stem rivers expect additional minor river flooding to develop.

DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN - April 4-9: Thursday through Tuesday.

Minor flooding will continue along some main stem rivers into the weekend.

Near or below freezing temperatures are possible for all or parts of the area during the early mornings of Friday through Sunday.

FLOOD WARNING - Eel River, Bowling Green - until Thursday afternoon

Repeat rounds of showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday or so brought 1 to 4 inches of rainfall to most parts of central and southern Indiana. This is bringing rise to area waterways.

Minor flooding is expected at most or all locations, but isolated moderate flooding is possible. Persons with interests in area rivers should closely monitor forecasts for updates.

At 20.0 feet, Flood water, possibly a foot deep, covers SR 42 just east of the Eel River. Several county roads flood extensively. Persons in river cabins move cars and possibly belongings to high ground. Agricultural levees are threatened.

Poland-Bowling Green Road is impassable in several places.

- At 6:30 AM EDT Wednesday, the stage was 19.4 feet.

- Recent Activity: The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 6:30 AM EDT Wednesday was 19.4 feet.

- Forecast: The river is expected to rise to a crest of 19.9 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late tonight.

- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
