Thursday, April 4, 2024

Logan Floyd is a senior at Northview High School. Logan was previously a member of the track and field team, but he is no longer participating in the sport due to complications with his other priorities. Outside of school, Logan enjoys spending time with his friends and working on trucks.

“I find it peaceful to work on trucks, especially when you're working with friends and just having a fun time.”

Floyd explains that his family influenced him to start this hobby.

“I became interested in trucks because of my grandpa and step-dad. They taught me a lot about them, and I just picked it up and found it interesting.”

Floyd also works at the Walmart Super Center in Terre Haute.

In the future, Logan plans to attend Ivy Tech Community College to further his education. He has not decided what he will be majoring in but hopes to find out in the future.

“I plan on going to Ivy Tech to further my education, and I am not 100% sure yet what I am going to pursue there as of right now.”

Logan states that his favorite part of high school has been the social aspect.

“My favorite part of high school is making new friends and socializing with new people.”

One of Floyd's favorite memories from high school was the infamous “anything but a car” day.

“My favorite memory of high school would have to be when we did 'bring anything to school except a car' day. It was cool seeing something different in the morning and everyone getting together for it.”

When asked of his role model, Logan names his mother. He describes his admiration for her perserverance and constant encouragement towards him.

“I look up to my mom because she has never given up in life and has always pushed me to do my very best at everything I do or want to do.”

At some point in his life, Logan would love to travel to fish with his grandfather.

“I would like to go fishing in Canada out on a big lake with my grandpa.”
