DAVID L. NEIER, Brazil, IN

David L. Neier, 80, of Brazil, Indiana, passed away on August 27, 2024, while at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital, in Indianapolis.

David was born on November 24, 1943, the son of Gaylord. L. and Harriet J. (Blair) Neier. He graduated from Brazil High School with the class of 1961. Following high school he worked for the brick yards in Clay County before beginning his 32 year career as a Journeyman Electrician at Cummins Diesel.

After retirement he enjoyed wintering in Ft. Meyers and Lorida, Florida.

He served his country in the United States Army from 1966 until 1968.

David was preceded in death by his parents Gaylord and Harriet Neier; maternal grandparents: John and Mary Blair; paternal grandparents: Truman and Ruth Neier; a son David Brett Neier; brothers: William Neier and Rick Neier.

Survivors include his daughter Susan Hood and husband Jeff; grandchildren: P.J. Hood, Alyssa Ledford (Brent), Joshua Hood, Danica Somheil, Megan Neier, Peyton Neier, and Grace Neier; a brother Randy Neier; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
