We need sports now more than ever
Over the last few days, I’ve been asked numerous times, ‘What are you going to do now that sports aren’t being played?’
And to be honest, I wondered the same thing for a brief time.
But after sitting on that thought, it became apparent to me – a sports fanatic that like many of you, is missing it on television – that what we need now more than ever is a distraction from the COVID-19 corona virus news.
That’s what I, along with The Brazil Times, plans to continue to give to you.
Will I be dipping my toe into the non-sports news end of the pool more often? Yes – and I’ve already done so.
But we will continue to deliver sports content that you, the readers, want and deserve on top of that.
I’ve already lined up several stories that I found interesting when getting them put together – and I hope you feel the same when they come out.
I also have an idea to fill the bracket cravings that you’re missing out on with the NCAA tournament being canceled.
It will involve some interactions from readers on our social media platforms, but I think it could be a fun, exciting and different way of going about telling stories.
At the same time, if you have any ideas or stories you want to read or be told, please send those to my email (adleri.thebraziltimes@gmail.
