Goode honors former State Sen. Jon Ford
STATEHOUSE (Feb. 12, 2024) — State Sen. Greg Goode (R-Terre Haute) presented Senate Resolution 7 to the Senate today, which honors former State Sen. Jon Ford (R-Terre Haute).
Ford resigned from the Senate in October 2023 after serving for nearly nine years.
"I was proud to honor my friend Jon Ford for his service to the Wabash Valley and state today," Goode said. "During his time in the Senate, Jon worked hard to improve the lives of all Hoosiers and attract new resources to the state."
While in the Senate, Ford advocated for children in the foster care system, worked to increase TANF eligibility and helped ensure Indiana's elections are secured.
Last month, Goode presented Ford with the Sagamore of the Wabash Award.
"I am honored to be able to continue Jon's legacy in the Senate and will continue to work with him as he helps lead the Wabash River Regional Development Authority," Goode said.
