Minor injuries reported in Friday crash on U.S. 40

Westbound traffic on U.S. 40 was reduced to one lane Friday evening as local and state emergency personnel responded to a crash near the Staunton Road crossing. Indiana State Police say Barbara Ripple, 75, Brazil, sustained lacerations and burns on her left hand following the accident. The injuries were believed to be caused by the airbag deploying.
