Letter to the Editor

Reader disappointed in Senators

Monday, September 2, 2013

To the Editor:

With the cost of living on the rise, the negative impact of "Obamacare" on taxes, full-time jobs and health care costs, a national debt of $17 trillion and the rights of citizens under assault from the federal government, Indiana Senators Dan Coats (Republican) and Joe Donnelly (Democrat) have opted not to meet with their constituents during their five-week break from Congress.

It's apparent they don't want to listen to our concerns. However, I would like to hear them speak of their vision for America.

Where do they stand on the issues?

We don't see them being interviewed on TV and when communicating to them via e-mail, only a pat response is forthcoming.

Are our Senators fighting to secure a brighter future for our children, or are they going along to get along with the leadership in their respective parties?

When these men come up for re-election, take time to review their voting records and remember they were too busy to meet with the folks who sent them to Washington, D.C.!

Sincerely,

Linda Tyler,

Brazil
