It's time to quit focusing on gun control

Sunday, July 13, 2014

Do you believe that more control of guns will keep more innocent people from being killed or injured?

Do you remember back a few years when "Joe the Camel" billboards were blamed for encouraging young people to start smoking? The government got involved and banned this advertisement for cigarettes.

If those smoking advertisement billboards had that much effect on young peoples actions, then what effect do video games and violent TV shows and movies have on young people and killing?

If someone has an overdose of this violence can it affect their mind to the extent that they lose the ability to distinguish the difference between fiction, fantasy and reality?

Time to quit focusing on guns. Let's spend more time focusing on the environmental background of anyone that commits mass killings. Guns don't kill, people do.
