To the editor:

I am writing to thank two Wal-Mart employees, William and Raymond, for their assistance when I experienced a medical emergency at the store recently. These gentlemen were so kind and helpful to assist me and my sister when I became ill. They reacted quickly to the situation and contacted the ambulance service as the situation became worse.

I would also like to thank the three employees from CARE Ambulance who helped me. They were professional, knowledgeable and sympathetic to my condition. Because of their response I was able to avoid a trip to the emergency room.

Also I would like to recognize the staff at Cloverleaf Healthcare for their support during my recovery following an extended stay in the hospital. The nurses, aides, therapists, office staff, housekeepers and cooks were wonderful people. I received very good care while I was at Cloverleaf.

St. Vincent Clay Hospital has always provided me excellent care as well. The nurses, doctors and staff there always do their best to take care of me.

Last, I would like to thank Dr. Paul Houston who has been my family doctor for several years. He is a patient, kind and respectful physician who works with me and my family to treat my diabetes.

I am very lucky to live in a community of wonderful and caring people. Thank you for allowing me to recognize these individuals.
