‘Pay-One Price’ discounted tickets anticipated by Saturday

Later this week local residents have the chance to save cash in preparation of the 84th Annual Rotary Club of Brazil Fourth of July Celebration -- scheduled for June 27-July 4 -- by taking advantage of advance sales of $15 discounted “Pay-One-Price” ride tickets.

The Prime Time Amusements Company midway will officially open at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, June 27, and will run in the park until the Rotary’s annual Celebration closes, Thursday, July 4.

Brazil Rotarian and Carnival committee co-chair Mark Adamson says discounted tickets are still being printed and should tentatively be delivered to local sites by Saturday, June 1st.

The sites selling them will again include many local banks and Dairy Queen and are available while supplies last. The discount tickets will cost just $15, for a $5 savings off the regular price of a Ride-All-Ticketed Rides bracelet, which regularly costs $20.

Banks planned to be selling the tickets include the main and east branches of Riddell National Bank, two First Financial Banks in Brazil, First Farmers Bank and Trust, and Terre Haute Savings Bank in Brazil.

The Brazil Dairy Queen will again be selling them, and this year the First Financial Bank branch in Clay City will again sell the discounted bracelet tickets. The tickets are offered for sale as a special courtesy to Brazil Rotary Club by these local businesses. The discounted tickets are not available at the drive-through windows, and instead must be purchased inside businesses at the counters.

Once the Celebration Midway opens June 27, discount tickets will no longer be available from the local businesses and armbands will return to full price. As of June 27, armbands will only be sold from ticket booths on the Prime Time Amusements Midway in Forest Park during carnival hours. Single ride tickets and ticket bundles will also be sold at the ticket booths for those who do not wish to buy an armband for unlimited rides.

The Pay-One price discount tickets must be presented to the ticket booth to be redeemed for a Ride-All-Ticketed Rides bracelet. The discount tickets can be redeemed for armbands any time the carnival is running.
