The next Staunton Community Center dinner, prepared by the Lady Volunteers, will be on Friday, October 25 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. This month’s dinner features your choice of Hearty Chili or Ham and Beans, grilled hot dogs, fried potatoes, coleslaw, cornbread, dessert, and tea, lemonade, or coffee. The price is $9 for adults and $5 for children. As always, profits go toward worthy causes in the community.

STAUNTON UNITED METHODIST CHURCH

Sunday morning church service begins at about 10:45. Kevin Timberman is our Pastor.

The Staunton United Methodist Food Pantry is open in the church basement from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on the last Wednesday of each month. The next Food Pantry day is Wednesday, October 30. Anyone in the Staunton area in need of help is welcome. As always, thanks to all the folks at Staunton Christian Church, Knightsville United Methodist Church, Staunton Elementary School, and other churches, schools, civic organizations, local merchants, and individuals for your continuing support of this important mission.

**STAUNTON FIRST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning worship service at 10:30. Mark Miller is our minister. Wee Worship meets at 10:30 in the Educational Wing. Children’s Church meets with adult worship until after the offering is taken, when they dismiss to their classroom.

Keep praying for all those who are battling illness, as well as all the brave men and women of our military and their families. Also remember to pray for all the folks in nursing homes and hospitals, and those who have lost loved ones. Go out of your way to be kind to someone, and pray for everyone.
