2021 High school football jamboree information

There was no doubt as soon as the four participating schools – Northview, Terre Haute North, Terre Haute South and South Vermillion – announced a day before Thanksgiving 2020 that the popular high school football jamboree would be returning in 2021, it would be well received by the fans across the Wabash Valley.

The excitement for the traditional four-quarter game that sees each team play two opponents in separate quarters has only gotten stronger.

But the wait is nearly over as the game will be held Friday at Northview with kick off scheduled for 7 p.m.

Below is all of the information for this year’s jamboree:

“All Scrimmage Eligibility Rules will apply. There will be no kicking downs. Coaches may use the allotted time on offense to instruct their players. Each team will begin on the 40-yard line coming out of their end zone. If the team does not get a first down within 3 plays the ball returns to the 40-yard line. If the team makes a first down, the team continues toward the goal line. No player may participate in more than 12 consecutive snaps and no more than 48 total snaps. If a player participates in 12 consecutive snaps, they must rest for 10 minutes before returning. Officials will use the 40-second play clock mechanics. The Game Clock will be a 15-minute running clock for each team’s offensive portion of the Jamboree period.”

Jerseys

Northview and Terre Haute North will wear dark colored jerseys. South Vermillion and Terre Haute South will wear light colored jerseys

Bleachers

Northview and Terre Haute North will be seated on the Home side. South Vermillion and Terre Haute South will be seated on the Visitor side
