On Monday, August 16, 2021, the free COVID-19 Testing Site at Forest Park was experiencing small issues that would delay the site opening. Clay County Health Department’s Emergency Planning Coordinator Tom Champion speaks to Times Reporter Ivy Jacobs about the problem.

FREE COVID-19 Drive Through or Walk-Up Testing site will be at Forest Park in Brazil, August 16-18 from noon to 8 p.m.

Ages 2 and up can be tested, but those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Limited amounts of the Johnsons & Johnson and Pfizer vaccine will be available each day.

This is the most recent nasopharyngeal testing site set up in Clay County during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once inside the park, follow the signs to the site area.

Any questions, please contact the Clay County Health Department at (812) 448-9021.

  • I got in line at 1:00p.m. and only about six cars had been thru at 2:05 p.m. and could not wait any longer from the amount in front of me would have been at least another hour and a half wait why was it taking 15 to 20 minutes just to get a test.
