The Building Trades Corporation in conjunction with Northview and Clay City High schools is cordially inviting everyone to a public open house from 1-5 pm.

It will take place at 1727 East Don Miller Court in Brazil, Indiana.

The beautiful brick veneered single-level home is in Clay View Estates alongside all the other student-constructed homes in the subdivision. It features top-of-the-line Marvin casement windows and matching exterior trim and guttering. The interior has approximately 1900 square feet of living space with elegant Amish-made cabinetry from Kemp. The kitchen has custom-made granite countertops. The total electric home includes 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and a mud room entry with a laundry station. The great room is situated in the center of the home with a front entry under the roof and a large back porch for outdoor social gatherings. The color theme is gray and black with all the trim and interior six-panel doors painted in white.

The attached 2-car garage is finished and has a concrete driveway for maintenance-free access.

To acknowledge the achievements of the students this year, a banquet was given in their honor at Mics-It-Up diner on May 4, 2022.

During this banquet, the 2 high point 1st-year students were presented the “Bill Brown Award” and given a gift card. They are Kaleb Blix and Jacob Fowler. Pictured in the photo are (not in order) Dayne Smith, Dylan Head, Kaleb Blix, Michael Street, Zach Benedict, Silas Emmett, Curtis Brooks, Gavin Morgan, Jordan Keyt, Hunter Stearley, and Cayden Floyd.

Also pictured are charter board member Don Miller, instructor Andy Sebastian, IA Brent Whitesell, and former instructor Dan Dragon.

All first-year students are displaying the jackets they were awarded by the Building Trades advisory board.

Students unable to attend the banquet and not pictured are Shiloh McCluskey, Seth Cowden, Cameron Kumpf, Jacob Jeffries, Devon Frazier, Devon Barnhart, Jacob Fowler, Joshua Wright, Ayden Wilson, and Nathan Bryan. Mr. Sebastian presented one of two second-year “Harry Sherer” achievement awards to Jordan Keyt. The other recipient is Curtis Brooks.
