CYFL Check-in: Week 3 edition

Week three of the 2022 CYFL season in in the books.

Peewee

The Terre Haute Chevrolet Panthers picked up its first win of the season in game one by defeating The Dairy Queen Wolves 14-6.

The Panthers used a stout defense and ball control to slow the game down. The Panthers held the ball the entire third quarter.

Miles Walker and Bryson Silvers scored the Panther touchdowns.

Parker Nees and Jonathan Entrekin dominated the interior disrupting the Wolves offense in the backfield all game long. Jayce Hickman, Brody Vencel and Grayson Forquer each had multiple tackles as well.

Game two was the Jackson Pestoff show.

Pestoff scored four touchdowns and added 10 tackles as The Ace Hardware Bulldogs defeated the The Riddell National Bank Lions 28-6.

Landon Pestoff added seven tackles, Gunner Felty and Kaston Lowry finished with five and four tackles respectively.

Liam Fabbri scored the lone Lions touchdown and added five tackles. Ashton Ferry finished with nine tackles. Judah Paul and Lincoln Marks each finished with five tackles.

Junior

Game one was the Max Raetz Show.

Raetz led The Hoosier Homes and Land Cowboys to a 35-0 over The Hometown Savings Bank Miners.

Raetz ran for three touchdowns; two runs of 60 yards and one for 50 yards. Case Bath ran for a touchdown and also hooked up with Bentley Bennett for a touchdown pass.

Raetz also led defensively with multiple tackles. Beau McGuffin and Jonah Harrington also had big games on the defensive side for the Cowboys.

The Miners were led defensively by Rylan Lumsdon with seven tackles. Daymon Ferry added a couple of bone crushing tackles.

In game two defense was the name of the game for the A’s Pampered Palace Outlaws.

The Outlaws defeated the Yankee Rose Irish 12-0.

Camden Stearley was busy recording nine tackles. Kade Wilson and Jeremiah Dickison each had five tackles. Gavin Hendrix added four tackles and recovered a fumble. Cross Baumgarter had a 79 yard interception return for a touchdown. Ben Eder added a touchdown run as well.

Iverson Vaughn led the Irish with four tackles.

Senior

The Carbon Heating and Cooling Bears continued its dominance in game one.

The Bears ran all over The Ultimate Warriors in route to a 48-6 win.

The Bears ran for a total of seven touchdowns. Ethan Smith had a big day running for six of them. Smiths backfield counterpart Brockton Stewart rushed for the other score.

Trenton Givans had a monster day defensively recording five tackles and two interceptions. Logan O’Farrell added an interception of his own as well.

Easton Sinclair threw a touchdown pass to Lincoln DeWeese for the lone Warrior score.

Zavier Weedle led The Warriors defensively with four tackles and a fumble recovery.

Game two was a grind it out type of game with the Technifab Red Devils defeating the Wabash Valley Plumbing Colts 26-12.

The Red Devils were led by Brady Bennett with two touchdowns; one rushing and one passing. Zac Styck and Colton Grisby each added a rushing touchdown. Lucas Hollingsworth hauled in the touchdown pass and also led defensively with five tackles. Liam Mershon added four tackles. Bennett and Garrett Watts each recovered a fumble for the Red Devils.

Dylan Withers scored both touchdowns for the Colts. Zaiden Reisinger led defensively with four tackles and an interception. Gabe Whitman added four tackles as well.
