Brazil leaf pickup to start Monday

Mother Nature can be quite fickle in the fall.

It’s good weather one day, and rain for seven days the next.

Leaves are there one day, and the on next they clutter the ground and roadways.

The Brazil City Garage removes leaves from residents each year, and the 2022 schedule is already set to begin.

The quadrants are divided by U.S. 40 and State Road 59, including:

South West Quadrant: Oct. 31-Nov. 4

Nov. 7-11 - PILES ONLY- Closed Nov. 8th for Election Day

North East Quadrant: Nov. 14-18

South East Quadrant: Nov. 21-23

CLOSED for Thanksgiving - Nov. 24-25

North West Quadrant: Nov. 28-Dec. 2

While the schedule is set, it looks like the many leaves are not ready to fall yet.

“We take it day by day,” said one official at the City Garage.

The schedule depends upon the weather, so information will be announced as soon as possible if any changes are necessary.
